Redline Detection Welcomes Summer Interns

Orange, Calif., July 7, 2022

Redline Detection, the world’s leader in diagnostic leak detection technology, this week welcomed 14 students to their summer internship program. The students, from the University of California, Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly Pomona, and the University of Maine, are gaining hands-on experience in departments from marketing to mechanical engineering.

For over a decade, Redline has offered students from all majors the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where they can collaborate on projects alongside industry professionals. This 8-12 week paid internship helps educate the next generation of entrepreneurs, engineers, and creatives, giving them the experience needed to pursue careers after college.

Redline CMO, Alex Parker, manages the internship program. “At Redline, helping young people get a strong start to their careers is part of our culture of giving back. These students are bright and motivated, they not only gain valuable experience from their internship, they also make a real contribution as part of our team.” Each intern is assigned a project during their program and is responsible for meeting deadlines, reporting progress, and working as part of a team. The interns also enjoy frequent guest speakers who share their experience on subjects as from professional ethics to acing a job interview.

All of the interns work closely with Redline’s award winning products. Manny and Anthony, both mechanical engineering students, are doing destructive testing this summer. “We have been doing destructive testing, really putting this equipment through extreme stress“ said Anthony. “Redline’s culture is all about continuous improvement. It’s been great to see how our destructive testing results have already been implemented to make Redline’s products even higher quality.”

Our process looks like “drop, test, analyze, report and repeat” said Manny. But they’re soon to push this equipment to its limits: all the interns are excited to watch Manny and Anthony drop test a machine off the 20’ high rooftop!
