JAGUAR LAND ROVER CHOOSES REDLINE DETECTION FOR GLOBALLY MANDATED EQUIPMENT PROGRAM

Collaboration to Develop New JLR High Pressure Diagnostic Leak Detector

for over 3,000 JLR Locations Worldwide

ORANGE, Calif., April 22, 2015Redline Detection, the industry leader in OEM-approved & OEM-mandated diagnostic leak detection equipment, today announced its collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover Limited (JLR) to bring to market new globally mandated technology for JLR’s 3,056 service locations in 112 countries.

The new technology will provide quick diagnostic ability for boosted engines, both turbocharged and supercharged, in JLR 2015 and 2016 models, enhancing customer service, improving air quality and increasing fuel economy. During its two-year field test with JLR, the new JLR High-Pressure Diagnostic Leak Detector proved to be 100 percent accurate in diagnosing boosted vehicles, saving valuable time and enhancing JLR’s world-class ‘fix it right the first time’ customer service environment.

“JLR is at the forefront of improving the customer driver experience. This Redline technology will allow us to extend that world-class customer experience from the day the vehicle is delivered, throughout the maintenance life of the vehicle” said Alex O’Neill of Jaguar Land Rover Limited. “Redline is the world’s leader in high pressure diagnostic leak detection.”

“Jaguar Land Rover is an excellent example of a progressive OEM recognizing the many benefits of a globally mandated program utilizing Redline’s expertise,” said Alex Parker, executive vice president of Redline Detection. “With one machine, JLR is effectively distributing new technology along with the standardized procedures to immediately implement it to service centers worldwide. JLR is reducing diagnostic time to give their customers world-class service while further enhancing their impressive customer satisfaction ratings.”

The new JLR High-Pressure Diagnostic Leak Detector replicates the boost load of a turbocharged or supercharged engine so the sealed integrity of the entire system can be tested with the engine safely off. This groundbreaking technology delivers 40x the pressure and many times the volume of a traditional EVAP smoke machine. Page 2

“As the world’s leading OEMs increasingly use forced-induction, turbocharged systems to provide consumers with improved fuel economy without sacrificing performance, technicians are in need of diagnostic equipment to quickly and safely test these vehicles,” added Parker. “This is the only technology available that can deliver variable pressure, high-density vapor that is 100 percent free of dyes and other contaminants, through the 20 PSI range. We are, needless to say, honored to partner with Jaguar Land Rover.”

REDLINE DETECTION’S NEW HIGH-PRESSURE LEAK DETECTOR ELIMINATES THREAT OF CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING FOR TRUCK/BUS DRIVERS & PASSENGERS

HD PowerSmoke™ Quickly Identifies Leaks and Ensures No Fumes or CO2 Enter the Cabin, Eliminates Associated Liability

NASHVILLE, February 16, 2015Redline Detection, the industry leader in OEM-approved diagnostic leak detection equipment, today announced its HD PowerSmoke™ ensures the safety of truck and bus drivers (and their passengers) by eliminating the threat of toxic carbon monoxide fumes entering the cabin. In fleets where HD PowerSmoke™ is not in use, the odorless and tasteless gas escapes through undetected leaks in the exhaust system into the cabin. Traditionally, visual inspection has been the technicians only choice for detecting these leaks until now.

HD PowerSmoke™ is the only diagnostic machine in the heavy duty market that can, in a single 10-minute procedure, reliably detect any boosted intake or exhaust leak, pinpoint its exact location and precisely identify failing components, saving heavy duty truck operators and fleets valuable time, keeping drivers and their passengers safe from dangerous exhaust fumes and ensuring trucks and buses stay on the road. With this new technology, fleets can be assured there are no exhaust leaks AND ensure that driver cabin/passenger compartments are fully sealed affording a double layer of safety protection.

“HD PowerSmoke™ was recently named essential equipment for several fleets. And as soon as these technicians saw HD PowerSmoke™ in action, they immediately recognized it is the ONLY way to ensure that the driver and the passengers in their vehicles will not be exposed to fumes or carbon monoxide in the cabin, a rising concern among many fleet operators,” said Alex Parker, executive vice president of Redline Detection. “With Redline’s new HD PowerSmoke™ technology, fleet operators can focus on their business at hand, knowing the driver cabin/passenger compartments have been scanned for exhaust leaks and are fully sealed, and be confident that they have eliminated the associated liability from these leaks.”

HD PowerSmoke™ has been named mandatory/essential equipment by several OEMs. In response, Redline Detection is expanding its manufacturing capacity to meet the steeply increasing demand.

Mandated Essential Equipment

For nearly two years, Redline Detection has worked in collaboration with major OEM engineers to design and deploy HD PowerSmoke™ to every dealership, repair center, resulting in immediate, quantifiable results for owners and operators.

HD PowerSmoke™ is specifically engineered to apply the precise pressure and volume of vapor needed to test the integrity of HD intake systems and exhaust systems in one quick procedure, with the engine safely off. Redline's patent-pending PowerSmoke™ Adaptors expand to seal off most every intake or exhaust system with every brand of heavy duty trucks, as well as medium duty.

By generating variable vapor pressure from 2 to 20 PSI, HD PowerSmoke™ gives heavy duty technicians the ability to vary flow as different types and sizes of leaks will be easily visible at different pressures. HD PowerSmoke™ creates a dense, long-hanging and easily visible vapor without the use of dyes or other contaminants. Many OEMs prohibit the use of dyes in diagnostic testing as they may coat critical sensors and void warranties; once injected, dyes can never be fully removed from the system. HD PowerSmoke™’s OEM-mandated vapor-producing fluid is safe for technicians, safe for vehicle engines and safe for the environment.

HD PowerSmoke™ is on display at the American Trucking Association’s Technology & Maintenance Council’s 2015 Annual Meeting in Redline Detection’s booth number 315.
